Cosetex, its history and tradition, the search for a modern silk, “the material of the future”, its innovative projects in the field of upholstery T.Silk, collaborations with personalities in the field of culture, of design and innovation , its mindset centred on certifying the naturalness of the product, of silk’s anti-pollutant properties, its reuse,not without a criticism of the recycling system and fast fashion, obtains an important and prestigious recognition by entering the exclusive short list of the Mario Unnia 2021 Award.

BDO Italia* with the collaboration of Bper Banca, Ersel *, Borsa Italiana and ELITE, established the Mario Unnia Award in 2017 with the aim of selecting and rewarding companies capable of adopting innovative strategies and business models capable of facing challenges of the modern economic system, made extremely burdensome by the covid19 virus pandemic that has afflicted our social and economic system for some years.

In the 2021 edition, through the Rethink contest ,the aim of the award is to enhance those companies capable of responding promptly and effectively to the difficult macroeconomic context on the basis of the three Rs of talent:

  • React safeguard the business and the people involved;
  • Resilienceresearch for and ensure extreme resilience to one’s business model;
  • Realiserestart on the basis of new challenges with new and innovative sustainable business models.

Cosetex in the Short List of 28 companies for the final of the Mario Unnia 2021 award

After an initial phase of preliminary analysis with more than 100 candidate companies, a Short List of 28 eligible companies  has been drawn up (12 companies from the North of Italy, 7 from the Centre Italy and 9 from the South Italy)

Cosetex S.r.l has been selected and invited to the reserved awards ceremony which will be held at the headquarters of the Italian Stock Exchange in Palazzo Mezzanotte Milan on 27 January 2022

A qualified jury* will proclaim the winning companies for each of the 3 categories (React/Resilience/Realise), in each of the Italian macro-regions (North West, North East, Centre-South and islands).

Among the 12 companies , the absolute winner of the Mario Unnia Prize will subsequently be announced.

*Mario Unnia Born in Cuneo on 1 January 1932, graduated in political science in Turin with Norberto Bobbio, died on 25/01/2016. Modern business scholar, sociologist, political scientist, writer, intellectual. Teacher and researcher focused on forecasting studies and corporate training, a role that led him to assume a leading role in the 70s and 80s in numerous large companies and projects. Founder of “Prospecta” and the magazines “Ethics of business and professions” and “Ethics and Society”
